Privacy Policy

The Pleasure Practice is the controller of the personal information collected through this website. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and keep it only as long as reasonably necessary.

If you join a mailing list, we use your consent to store your email and send the messages you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Payments

When checkout is enabled, payments will be handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. The Pleasure Practice does not receive or store your full card details.

Courses and account access

If you buy or access a course, we may process your email address, display name, purchase reference, access status, course progress, and—if you are signed in—lesson notes so you can receive and use what you bought. Notes and reflections are sensitive by nature; only enter information you are comfortable storing with the account service.

Why we use information

We use purchase and account information to perform our contract with you; mailing-list information with your consent; enquiry information to respond to you; and limited security logs where necessary for our legitimate interest in protecting the service. Optional analytics runs only after consent.

Service providers and transfers

We use service providers including Vercel for hosting, Stripe for checkout, Resend for email, and—only after analytics consent—Google Analytics. They process information under their own terms and may process it outside the UK using the safeguards available under UK data protection law.

Account restoration, course progress, and lesson-note synchronisation may also be processed by KH Digital Studio through its protected account service at api.khdigitalstudio.com. This can include your account email, purchased-course identifiers, progress, and any lesson notes you choose to synchronise. Do not put information in lesson notes that you do not want stored with your account.

How long we keep information

Purchase and tax records are normally retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law. Enquiries are reviewed for deletion after 24 months. Account progress and lesson notes are retained while the account remains active or until you ask us to delete them, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute or meet a legal duty. Mailing-list records are retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, with a minimal suppression record retained where necessary to honour that choice. Security logs follow the hosting provider’s limited retention settings.

Analytics and cookies

The site host may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and request logs, to deliver and protect the website. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage. See the cookie policy for more detail.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Use the contact page to make a request. We will verify the request and coordinate it across applicable providers, including the account service. Some purchase records may need to be retained for legal or tax purposes even after account content is deleted. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
